
Higher Ground, the company headed up by Barack and Michelle Obama, has also produced ‘The Turnaround’ documentary short, directed by Kyle Thrash, focusing on a Phillies fan’s role in upturning the team’s fortunes, which will screen on the Telluride Film Festival on September 1st. It is a whole range of emotions one goes through. If I could say it lightly, it is a better portrayal of emotions.”
“Last but not the least,” said Turner’s Ridley Walker in an interview with Joshua Krentzman. “There are many things that can be described as an American tale. The controversial love-hate relationship between supporters and contestants. It is one thing to argue, it is another to fight. That would result in a jaw-dropping fight show. The excitement and uncertainty that would unfold… Something more than a wee bit of excitement.”
Joshua Klein took the helm while producing the short documentary which came in association with Breakwater Studios’ Nicholas Ruff (“The Mad Whale”) and Josh Rosenberg (“The Last Repair Shop”). Dillon M. Hayes, the film editor, worked with David Bolen for cinematography. The film’s composition score was created by Ari Balouzian.
Additionally, the documentary is co-produced by Cookie Jar & A Dream Studios, a company of DICK’S Sporting Goods, and Major League Baseball.
