Synopsis
As fleets of Martian craft hover over all the major cities of the world, the whole of humanity holds its breath waiting to find out if aliens truly “come in peace.” U.S. President James Dale (Jack Nicholson) gets assurance from science professor Donald Kessler (Pierce Brosnan) who informs him that the Martians are indeed here on a friendly mission. Yet, when a rather cordial trade – which ends with the absolute destruction of the U.S. Congress – takes place, the military leaders swiftly demand an all-out nuclear counter strike.
