The Plot
Archibald (Archie) Arnold and Amelia Brown were the best of friends, as the story unfolds, Archie develops a crush on her. Just when Archie is set to let Amelia know how he feels, circumstances arise that make him keep his feelings for her a secret. It is now a few months until he completes his high school education and decides to go out with Amelia.
Their plans, however, are ruined by the arrival of a new student, Billy Walsh. Archie is devastated when he discovers that Amelia has a crush on Billy but she cannot tell him about it (the same way he cannot tell her). During one dinner with the family, Amelia finds Archie’s parents discussing how her father sought help from a Love Doctor to save his family.
What has Archie done that Amelia may not be able to date Billy anymore?
Amelia requests that Archie give her the number belonging to the Love Doctor so that she might win over Billy Walsh. Although he refuses at first, Archie eventually relents. He provides Amelia with the phone number of the Love Doctor, which he later changes to a different one. Using the age filter app on his phone, Archie attempts to chat with Amelia as the Love Doctor. This backfires when Billie calls her in and makes her look foolish by listening to what she has said to her in love with her.
Billy seems to turn his attention on Amar all the time so, Amelia wants to tragically dress up as one of the popular girls her name is Amber. But due to her clumsiness, the embarrassment towards Billy rises more and more in school. In the lunchroom, Amber makes fun of Amelia, and though Amber gets mashed potatoes on her face because Archie is freaking out and defends Amelia, the fight doesn’t end there. Billy, however, asks Amelia out after seeing the embarrassment with Amber.
What’s gone wrong with Archie’s plan?
While pretending to be the Love Doctor, Archie encourages her date dealer Amelia to be particularly mean to Billy.
The date is a disaster for Amelia as Billy expects her to be as rude and mean as Amber and the other mean girls of the school. Amelia understands that Billy is not the usual bad boy coming from a nice family. At school, Amelia claims to be the most embarrassing place while holding a microphone for the attention of the entire school, including Billy.
Archie understands that it was worth enough to try and part ways with Amelia and Billy. He brings Billy to Amelia and she proceeds to say how much she likes him and they become official. On the other hand, Archie is unable to move from his bed as he is heartbroken over his first crush with whom he should never have fallen in love in the first place.
Are there warnings from Amelia’s father especially concerning the aspect of ‘true love’?
Amelia is in a relationship with Billy, but she is lost and confused. In the course of talking to her father on a certain day, she shares that her parents have been friends since they were kids. Amelia is shocked when she learns from her father that he loved her mother for so many years but has never told her this. So, when she attempts to comprehend her friendship with Archie, she realizes that they too are the same as her parents.
Will Amelia manage to figure out the mystery surrounding the identity of the Love Doctor?
Amelia is seen confessing her love to Archie as she goes for the ball. She has already bought him a new suit so all he needs to do is wear it. In a strange turn of events, she texted Love Doctor about how to break up with Billy. Then again, she hears a text notification and upon checking Archie’s drawer the phone is inside which makes her believe that Archie was untruthful with her. Alfred leaves for the ball by herself. Archie runs after her but bullies at school come and pummel him before tying him to a giant treepost.
And where was Billy Walsh the entire time?
However, in the ball, Amelia clearly states that she would break up with Billy since she likes someone else. Billy on the other hand was surprised as to why Amelia was trying to dump him, still behaving maturely. One of the tykes informs Billy about Archie so in a hurry he goes to help free Archie. Finally, Archie thanks Billy for help and goes to meet Amelia because he wants to see her.
Is there a happy ending in the game called How To Date Billy Walsh?
At the ball, Archie goes on stage and makes a proclamation. He tells Amelie that she has been in his heart since childhood and did everything possible to win her over, even becoming a fake Avowed Kissed The LoveDoctor. Amelie forgives Archie, and they kiss for a few moments. Towards the conclusion of the movie, Billy is paired up with one of the geeky girls at the school.
