Summary of the Plot of Argylle
Elly Conway is authoring a collection of novels based on a spy who is also a protagonist named Argylle; however, this book is taking her longer than usual. When visiting her parents, Aidan tells her that there is a group that is after her. It seems like her books possess the location of one of their lairs? Now without her consent, Elly has to join forces with him to remain safe.
She quickly learns that this is not just a mission to save the Earth, but also to find herself. Which more secrets, apart from the above,! must she uncover during the entire course of the operation? And will everything be alright with her and this enigmatic Aiden character?
How does Argylle finish in the end?
Having escaped the dark syndicate for the last time, Elly comes to grips with reality, she is Argyle. Healing from a blow that led to her amnesia during an op, Rachel Kylle, aka Agent R. Kylle, also recuperates with memory loss. These villains took advantage of her strength, and brainwashed her into believing that everything she knew about the op was fiction.
In Livia’s case, first, she has to obtain the master file, a database comprising records of all spies operative within the organization Whittaker. This, however, also contains information about her. First, she is confused about and uses it against them pretending to be with them instead. She makes an attempt to forward it to Alfie, an ex-deputy director of the CIA, when the coast is clear, but in the execution, she fails and exposes herself to the villains.
Aiden and Elly meet again and now work together to defeat the organization and hand the master file over to Alfie. Although they faced many dangerous competing attackers, they emerged victors. Elly’s cat manages to scratch the face of the attacking Lelouch, allowing Aiden to finally kill the main antagonist.
But when the master file is about to be completed, Hypnosis is used by Ruth, one of the persons who had played a lot to alter Elly’s memory, now to instigate her to fight off Aiden. Ruth almost wins, but something that is most beautiful happens. Keira, who used to work with Elly prior and was thought to be dead, pitched the foe which saved everybody. From there, they then uploaded the master file and made a retreat.
Who is Argylle?
It is not a tricky question; in fact, it looks like one, throughout the movie, which keep us guessing. Firstly, the spy is just Elly’s literary creation. Then, she is Argylle. And for a while, that seems to be the correct answer. But then the last scene of the film turns everything upside down.
While Elly is busy promoting the last book in the Argyle series, she is taken aback when one of the fans raises his hands to ask a question as she does not quite understand why the fan looks the exact way she imagined him, and much more, but he tells her he knows that she must have countless inquiries for him.
In a post-credits scene, during the final act of the film after the credits, a character named Agent Aubrey Argyle exchanges words with a man while talking about a bartender and gaining some respect from him. This suggests Argyle is more than just a spy, he is a Kingsman agent. We still do not know him well, but this crossover has led us to understand that the series has many junctions to cross and much more to be unveiled soon.
