Abigail Plot Summary.
When Abigail’s mother (Alisha Weir), a famous ballerina, is kidnapped by a gang of criminals, the gangleaders move to a deserted mansion not knowing that they have kidnapped a little girl who is not as sweet and innocent as she appears to be. Joey (Melissa Barrera) and Frank (Dan Stevens) who are in control of the mansion, tell them the story of the house and make it a little bit of fun for them. The fun comes to an abrupt end when it’s learned that the abductor Kristof Lazar is a vampire lord.
Who is Kristof Lazar?
They later learn that Kristof Lazar is not just a vampire lord, but one of the most feared men in the drug trade. The reason Kristof had abducted the criminals was to take revenge on them, and they were all working for him, and there was no reward waiting anywhere.
When Joey and Frank run for their lives, it’s daytime and they manage to survive the attack in the library of the manor. However, they know very well that night is approaching, which is their most vulnerable time. A secret bookshelf door opens up and they discover Frankie Lambert controlling the room.
What was Lambert’s interest in drawing sinners to the house?
As it appears, it was exactly two years ago when Abigail transformed him into a vampire and made him her husband’s numerous enemies. Although he received immortality and superhuman strength, Lambert has had enough of obeying Abigail and her father. He defeats Joey and offers Frank a choice: either become a vampire and help him subdue Lazar’s empire, or perish.
Frank roots for the offer, turns around, and betrays Lambert, piercing his heart till he is dead. Abigail arrives shortly after, stating that the couple’s game of cat and mouse is finished. She goes for Frank and he manages to sink his fangs into the girl’s neck, who hasn’t died yet.
Different states of affairs concern moving in the opposite direction. Joyce is now fully awake, and in her grogginess, she attempts to return to the library, however, upon her try she remembers the locked door, which does not bulge. As she is speaking, her disappointed son, Caleb looks at all things she has done while Frank is running after Joey and is swearing at the girl, saying she will become a vampire. ‘You will pray to your mother and the bridge-’ banging him against the wall, throwing her upwards, and throwing her against the wall. Abigail elaborates that to kill a vampire, you have to suck out all the blood completely.
Abigail is unable to achieve her goal, how does she end?
At the last point, she is still entirely exposed. Frank out gets her and then goes after the last resting place of all the women in the family, Joey. After biting her, he puts a stake in her hand. Who is in a heavy inclination to shove it into a woman until she is dead? So he requires her to kill Abigail. As Joey is walking towards Abigail, she changes her mind and comes closer to Frank.
Abigail teams up with Joey as they both corner Frank. They take the stake and drive it straight through Frank’s chest, and as he bursts into pieces, Frank’s curse is lifted from Joey.
Abigail appeals to Joey to leave saying thanks and that she wishes to meet with Caleb again. After all this time, Abigail mentions, that the father’s main duty is just showing up for the child. Just as Joey is ready to depart, the father of Abigail, who is an aristocrat called Lazar appears. He calls himself Lazar ‘now’ but it seems over the years, he was known by several other names suggesting that he too is Dracula.
Lazar intends to murder Joey but Abigail interferes and defends Joey against her father, saying: “She was here when you weren’t.” Lazar gives a nod and reluctantly allows Joey to withdraw and she leaves the premises. She climbs into the waiting van outside the house and starts the engine while sucking on one of the many lollipops in her candy cupboard.
